so gigabyte have better cooling but less pcie x1, optical spdif, i don't really think it's important. Unless you care about network cards sound cards which i think is a waste of money if you have DACs, mixers, taking the sound away from the case. Considering USB, HDMI play better sound, wider bandwidth than spdif optical, which only has the plus of lowering noise. I would say those are not important

The problem with having higher TDP means more heat. I want to see performance but not at the cost of energy and heat. That is why I think the future will be ARM chips and hopefully it b becomes adopted by the rest of the industry.

tbh i find usb 2.0 better, its almost holding me back from goign with this if i go for a 7800x3d. i find having wireless stuff for headsets etc act up from time to time either by failing to refgister that its connected when waking up the pc or not detecting them at all after a reboot.

Doesn't need to compete with Nvidia's highend. It just has to offer good performance at a good price. Most people aren't buying RTX4090 or RTX5090 when those get released. Thay want better value than that RTX4070 for a decent price. That thing is way over priced.

I am convinced to buy this motherboard after watching this video 100%. I’m buying it.

The algorithms are getting better and better. A 3x upscale is actually not that bad and helps with underpowered GPUs a lot. I prefer to at least have the option, even though I know the 3D world will not look that good. Practical example: I have a PC with 5800X, 64 GB RAM, but old Nvidia GTX 1070 8 GB. Monitor is 4K 60 Hz. Was playing *No man's sky* on 1080p native first - but the GPU clearly struggled to reach stable smooth 60 fps at all times. The UI / HUD did not look that nice because I was running 1080p on a 4K monitor. After testing various settings I found I can actually play at 4K by using a FSR "Ultra performance" upscale. It's a 3x upscale. Now it was always at smooth 60 fps and the UI / HUD was much clearer. Sharpening helps a bit with the 3D world. The only most noticeable downside where distance "thin line" objects that could have a shimmering effect sometimes.
